People with learning difficulties are vulnerable to hate crime
According to Mencap as many as 9 out of 10 people with learning difficulties have been the subject of hate crime and bullying*
How can this be prevented?
This is very difficult because people with learning difficulties are so vulnerable and you can't be with them all the time. This is especially a problem if they live independently. Advice is given on the Mencap website (see link below)*
